Inclusive Dance for EVERYONE for the National Tremor Foundation
You may remember Katy Barrow doing the SOSA Dance Fitness fundraising event Dance and Sing Along for National Essential Tremor Awareness month which raised over £220 for the NTF. Katy is now offering free dance programmes for all those with long term health conditions and disabilities, including neurological tremor. Katy shares the details of the dance programmes.
In collaboration with Sport England and SOSA Dance Fitness, we are delighted to be able to provide you with FREE access to a fun, inclusive dance programme that will provide huge benefits to your physical health, and your mental wellbeing. Get ready to #DanceYourselffHappy
These dance classes will improve your:

- Motor Fitness

- Posture
- Muscle Tone
- Coordination
- Strength
- Overall wellbeing!
We have three different programmes available for you to access via our online platform:
Seated SOSA – this is our chair dance programme, with special considerations for common health conditions, older adults, disabled participants and those recovering from injury (GP referral). It’s authentic dance adapted to a chair… covering 37 international dance styles.
Simply SOSA – this is our ‘middle ground’ supported dance programme, using the aid of a chair or frame for balance as your ‘dance partner!’. This programme is suitable for those who are able to stand but experience balance issues making it difficult for them to take part in a standing class.
SOSA Dance Fitness –this is our standing programme for fully able bodied adults of all ages and abilities. Low impact and high energy, participants learn authentic steps, movements and styling for 37 international dance styles, including Ballroom, Latin, Salsa, Flamenco, Rock’n’Roll, Disco… just to name a few!
