Miles For Movement
2000 Steps a Day – Just One Mile!
This summer, we’re encouraging everyone to take just one mile a day – that’s only 2,000 steps – as part of our Keep Fit Campaign.
Whether you're walking in the park, around your home, or through your neighbourhood, every step has impact. This easy daily goal helps you:
-
Stay active and support your physical and mental wellbeing
-
Raise awareness of tremor and show solidarity with those affected
-
Feel better – every step counts!
You don’t need special gear or hours of free time – just a pair of comfy shoes and a little motivation. Join us and make your steps matter!
Make it part of your day
You don’t need to do all 2,000 steps at once! Small changes can add up and make a real difference. Here are some simple ways to sneak extra steps into your daily routine:
✔️ Walk instead of taking the bus for short journeys
✔️ Pop to the shop for milk instead of driving
✔️ Take the stairs rather than the lift
✔️ Walk the dog for a few extra minutes
✔️ Park a little further from your destination
These easy swaps help you stay active, boost your mood, and support our goal to raise awareness of tremor. Start today—every step counts!
Prefer to move your way?
If walking isn’t for you, that’s fine! You can cycle, swim, or find another way to move a mile each day. However you take part, you’ll be helping to raise awareness and support those affected by tremor. Every mile matters!
