James Blann took on the epic 16km running challenge for the National Tremor Foundation
The Great South Run is the south coast’s biggest running event. Starting and finishing on the glorious seafront, the route offers a run through history passing iconic landmarks including the Historic Dockyard, HMS Victory and Southsea Castle.
James said: “Through Insightec I have been supporting the National Tremor Foundation for many years. By taking part in The Great South Run I was able to raise money that can be used by the NTF for vital activities such as providing support groups for people living with ET, raising awareness of the condition, and providing research opportunities to develop further therapies and a greater clinical understanding of the condition. In these difficult financial times I am super grateful to everyone who was able to donate, and am really proud of the contribution we have all made together for the NTF.”
As well as campaigning for Focused Ultrasound Surgery to be available on the NHS, James has been a speaker at NTF events for many years. This year he helped organise and presented the hugely successful NTF Essential Tremor Open Day.
The NTF would like to congratulate James for his tremendous effort and continued support.
