Jackie Farrell who leads the Sutton Shakers reflects on the Wallington Community Charity Advice Day on 21 October 2022.
Always a pleasure to be part of this charity’s events. The National Tremor Foundation information table, as in the past, had a steady stream of people stopping by to find out about Essential Tremor and Orthostatic Tremor.

It was good to have Andy, Stephanie and Jenny from Sutton Shakers come along to help as that gave me the opportunity to go round and network with other stallholders.

The London Borough of Sutton fire officers had an adjacent table. They were interested to learn about the affects Essential Tremor had on daily living and how this could be taken into account when carrying out fire assessments. A suggestion was raised of perhaps extra fire alarms being installed which may help. So keen was their interest they scanned the QR code for the NTF website to save on.
