The National Tremor Foundation has secured places at the 40th Virgin London Marathon to be held virtually on Sunday 4 October 2020.

At this year’s event participants will have 23 hours 59 minutes and 59 seconds (from 00:00 to 23:59:59 BST) to complete the 26.2 miles, which they can choose to run, walk or jog.

24 year old Chapel Allerton club runner, Fred Jewitt has tremor and is doing his virtual London marathon at Elvington Airfield. Fred said: “I am happy and excited to be running and raising awareness of tremors.”

This will be the first marathon for runner Curtis Rhodes, who said: “I am running the London Marathon to raise awareness of essential tremor, a condition my mum struggles with. As the event is run virtually I will be running my marathon on the Canal finishing in Saltaire.”

This is the second year that the NTF has been given places at the London Marathon and is the first time the Foundation has had more than one participant.

Please cheer our runners on and help them raise awareness.
