Sutton Shakers May Meet-Up
Jackie Farrell who leads Sutton Shakers support group reflects on their May 2025 meetup.
14 Sutton Shakers met up on 23rd May 2025 at Holiday Inn, Sutton. Apologies from seven unable to attend.
It was a very interactive group discussing various topics, including the importance of taking part in the Essential Tremor Priority Setting Partnership survey, not just for people with ET, but also family members and health care professionals. We heard from a few members of their own tremor experiences and what topics they would like to see researched. Some members of the group took home paper copies of the poster shown below.
Deep Brain Stimulation and Focused Ultrasound treatments were also discussed as a couple of people were considering treatments.
We are fortunate, the hotel reserves a special area for our meetups and the staff look after us well. This helps make the meetups a welcoming environment.
Our next meetup will be Friday 18th July at Holiday Inn, Sutton, 12:30pm
