Everyone deserves access to the right care, treatment, and support at the right time, no matter who you are or where you live. But too often, this isn’t the case. Please back our campaign and help change this.

One in six people in the UK live with one or more neurological conditions, including neurological tremors. However, there simply aren’t enough workforce or services to provide the support they need.

We believe this must change for everyone. Neurological conditions are the leading cause of disability worldwide and affect, on average, 17,000 people in each UK Parliamentary constituency.

Neurological conditions can affect anyone at any time. Improving services for the one in six people with a neurological condition in the UK will impact friends, family, loved ones, and carers too. That’s why we are asking you to contact your prospective parliamentary candidates in the run-up to the general election and ask them to pledge their support and become a #NeuroChampion in the next Parliament.

The right care at the right time means people can stay healthy and live well for longer, reducing the impact on daily life and keeping people in education and work. It also means individuals and families can get access to a diagnosis more quickly, receive the correct treatment, and get the support they need to manage their condition.

But 20% of adults affected by neurological conditions waited more than a year from seeing a GP to seeing a neurologist. We believe this must change for everyone.

Ensuring everyone with a neurological condition can access the right treatment, care, and support at the right time could save the UK economy £30 billion a year and improve millions of lives. But not everyone affected by a neurological condition can access these services.

Your next MP can help change this. Please call on your next MP to #BackThe1in6 and become a #NeuroChampion in Parliament.

P.S. Completing the e-action takes just two minutes – please do it now and help make the case for change.
