The Essential Tremor Awareness Day held at the Royal National Hotel, in London on Saturday 7th October was a great success.

The event was organised by Insightec on behalf of the NTF and provided the opportunity to hear from guest speakers.

We would like to thank Professor Ludvic Zrinzo of The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, who is an esteemed expert in the field of movement disorders in particular Essential Tremor, who delivered a valuable and informative presentation.

A special acknowledgment goes to Karen Hull, a Neurological Physiotherapist, who shared insights on enhancing balance as a means of managing Essential Tremor.

In addition, we would like to express our appreciation to Jodee Cooper from Queen Square Imaging Centre, who provided useful information on accessing their imaging and Focused Ultrasound services.

Our gratitude also goes out to Jackie Farrell, who delivered an enlightening talk on mindfulness, meditation, and well-being exercises, even offering attendees the opportunity to put these techniques into practice.

We extend our thanks to Oscar Gomez Reaney, who provided a first-hand account of living with Essential Tremor as a young adult, offering unique perspectives and experiences.

James Blann was a fantastic facilitator, and we would like to thank him for his assistance in orchestrating the event.

Lastly we are grateful for the attendees and their support in raising awareness.

We hope that the success of the event, where we brought together experts and individuals affected by essential tremor, will make a difference.
