National Tremor Foundation Takes Essential Tremor Awareness to Parliament
The National Tremor Foundation (NTF) took a significant step in raising awareness of Essential Tremor (ET) by meeting with cross-party MPs at the Houses of Parliament on 6th March.
This initiative was part of National Essential Tremor Awareness (NETA) Month, aiming to highlight the challenges faced by individuals living with Essential Tremor, including children, and the crucial work being done by the NTF.

NTF Chair Kitty Reilly and Treasurer Keith Flaxman engaged with MPs, including Matt Vickers (Conservative, North East England), Robbie Moore (Conservative, Yorkshire and Humber), and Jake Richards (Labour, Rother Valley). The discussions centred on increasing recognition of ET and strengthening support for those affected.

Kitty Reilly, Chair of the NTF, said: "It was incredibly encouraging to see MPs take an active interest in Essential Tremor and the work we are doing at the National Tremor Foundation. We are excited to continue these conversations and build on the momentum from our parliamentary meetings."

Beyond this parliamentary engagement, the NTF is creating further opportunities for volunteers to involve their local MPs in awareness efforts. In June, the NTF will also collaborate with Insightec for a joint drop-in session, providing another platform to discuss ET and the latest advancements in treatment.
We look forward to hearing more about this.
