Salisbury Shakers had a lively and enjoyable meeting, today, with a record attendance of fifteen people.  We welcomed Netta and John, together with John’s wife Shelagh, who were all new to the group.  They described their shaky journeys and others exchanged news and updates.

Mary’s egg cracker was something that was new to most of us and looked very useful.  Andrew had a metal straw with a rubber end, complete with cleaner; there was a spill-proof wine glass and a neat gadget for carrying a cup.

Stephanie told us the good news that at least two National Trust cafes now provide cups with two handles and also a cup with a spout.

Sheelagh reported that she had not yet heard back from Girish Vajramani, a consultant neurosurgeon from Southampton who has offered to come and talk to our group. A couple of people who have met him have talked of how kind and thorough he is and we are all keen to meet him.

Our next meeting is planned for 15th March (date to be confirmed) when we will hold our usual meeting and then those who wish to will have lunch together in Charlie’s.
