NTF Founder Professor Leslie Findley retires and two leading specialists join the Board
The National Tremor Foundation (NTF) has announced the retirement of its Founder and member of the Board of Trustees, Professor Leslie Findley. After almost four decades of dedicated service, his departure from the Board marks a significant moment in the charity’s history.

Professor Findley has been at the heart of the Foundation since its creation, driving national awareness, championing research, and offering unwavering support to those affected by tremor.
Although stepping down from the Board, Professor Findley will continue to serve on the NTF Advisory Panel, ensuring his expertise and insight remain part of the charity’s future direction.
In recognition of this transition, the Foundation is proud to welcome two new trustees to the Board.
Mr Jibril Osman Farah, Consultant Neurosurgeon
Mr Jibril Osman Farah, Consultant Neurosurgeon at the Walton Centre NHS Trust, Liverpool, is a leading expert in functional and stereotactic neurosurgery. He heads the MRI-guided focused ultrasound (MRgFUS) thalamotomy service for essential tremor in the North of England and brings deep clinical and academic experience in movement disorder surgery.
Dr Matteo Ciocca, Consultant Neurologist
Dr Matteo Ciocca, Consultant Neurologist at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, London, specialises in tremor and advanced therapies such as Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) and MRgFUS. His research explores both surgical and non-surgical approaches to tremor care.
Their appointments mark an exciting new chapter for the NTF.
