Salisbury Shakers January meet-up
Salisbury support group organiser Sheelagh Wurr reflects on the Salisbury Shakers January meet-up.
The first meeting of Salisbury Shakers in 2024 was held on Saturday 13th January in St Thomas’s. Several of the group were absent because of colds, Covid, injured feet and other commitments, but we welcomed two new members, Andrew from Andover and Angie from Warminster.
We watched the Gyrogear video (starring Mary and Sheelagh!) and talked about Gyroglove. It would be good to find out if this is going to be available in UK.
Somebody mentioned the ‘Emma Watch’. This device is being developed for those with Parkinson’s disease and it is unclear whether it would be helpful for those with ET.
There was much discussion on various forms of treatment, including DBS and Focused Ultrasound.
Jillian pointed out that a photo of our pre Christmas lunch is now available on Charlie’s website, and can be seen on their Trip Advisor page.
Our next meeting is planned for February 10th and I will confirm this when I have booked the room.
