The National Tremor Foundation joined over 100 guests from across the neurological community at the Parliamentary Neuro Reception on the 16th January. This was a landmark event bringing together MPs, charities, healthcare professionals, and individuals affected by neurological conditions.

The event aimed to raise awareness of the challenges faced by the one in six people in the UK living with a neurological condition and to encourage MPs to become #NeuroChampions.

The campaign saw incredible support from the public, with over 1,300 people writing to their MPs to invite them to attend the event. This collective effort highlights the strength and unity within the neurological community in advocating for change.

During the reception, NTF Treasurer Keith Flaxman, NTF Support Groups Coordinator Jackie Farrell, and Young Persons Ambassador Oscar Gomez, had the chance to engage with MPs such as Deputy Speaker of the House of Commons, Caroline Nokes MP.

As part of the #BackThe1in6 campaign organised by the Neurological Alliance, the NTF and other organisations will continue to work to advocate for better services and awareness for the millions of people living with neurological tremors.
