This month there is excellent news that The Walton Centre in Liverpool continues their strong start to treating patients with Essential Tremor as MRgFUS is now available on the NHS and funded at this hospital, as well as at St Mary’s in London.

In more good news the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery has installed an MRgFUS system in the Queen Square Imaging Centre, which for now will only be available for private patients, until NHS England expands its service. We will continue the campaign with NHS England to expand its service and to allow Queen Square to also treat patients on the NHS, but in the meantime if you want more information about being seen privately due to the current very long waiting times, you can look up Queen Square as another option to the two already existing centres at St Mary’s and The Walton Centre

We want to thank all NTF campaigners for your support to date in making sure patients can access this treatment on the NHS. Thank you for all that you have done, and we look forward to continue working with NTF’s campaigners across the UK to make sure more people can access this treatment!
