Sutton Shakers March Meet-Up
Jackie Farrell who leads Sutton Shakers support group reflects on their March meetup.
16 Sutton Shakers met on 1st March, with apologies from five others unable to attend.
As usual our regular seating area had been reserved for us and we were well looked after by the attentive staff, whether we were having lunch or just coffee & chat. Although there is no pressure to have lunch, many choose to do so as they say it is good to be able to eat with others who understand the difficulties of eating/drinking with the disorder.
NTF publications to raise awareness
Our main topic of discussion was National Essential Tremor Awareness month and ways to help raise awareness. The group were able to pick up NTF publications and take away to display in their own areas.
We all enjoy meeting up with likeminded people and chatting about anything and everything including assistive devices.
Our next meetup is yet to be arranged when I’ll have updates on the assistive device ‘GyroGlove’.
