Take part in the biggest coastal running event in 2022!
Run the Great South Run taking place on Sunday 16 October 2022 and raise money towards providing advice and helping the National Tremor Foundation's tremor support groups.
The Great South Run is the south coast’s biggest and best running event takes place in Portsmouth over a fast and flat 10 mile route.
Join thousands of other people taking at the Great South Run this year, the world’s most famous 10-mile run for over 30 years. Starting and finishing on the glorious seafront, the event provides stunning running at every turn with breathtaking views of the Isle of Wight. The route offers a run through history passing iconic landmarks including the Historic Dockyard, HMS Victory and Southsea Castle.
With entertainment zones that celebrate local character, incredible crowd support, and rocking music at every mile, it’s a party atmosphere from start to finish. It’s a run for everyone, from locals to celebrated athletes, whether it’s your first event or your 50th. An inclusive celebration of running, with music blazing, crowds buzzing, legs pumping and fists bumping. Portsmouth comes alive on Great South Run weekend.
Last year the National Tremor Foundation provided information and advice to almost one quarter of a million people with neurological tremor including essential tremor and orthostatic tremor. In 2020 due to Covid most of our support groups become online and the National Tremor Foundation ran an incredible 32 online support groups. They are important to people with neurological tremor as they connect people who are often isolated and give them the courage to speak out about the condition and share coping tips.
